Who we are
ScreeningPass is a product of EmpowerFlix. We provide a screening and audience management platform for independent filmmakers. References to “we,” “us,” or “EmpowerFlix” in this policy refer to the operator of ScreeningPass.
What data we collect
- Viewer registration data: Name and email address, collected when you register for a screening.
- Consent records: We record exactly what you agreed to, the version of consent text shown, and the timestamp of your agreement.
- Viewing data: Whether and when you accessed a screening.
- Payment data: For paid screenings, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
- Filmmaker account data: Email, name, and organization details for filmmaker accounts.
How we use your data
- To deliver your screening access link (always — this is required for the service).
- To send screening reminders (always — this is required for the service).
- To send filmmaker project updates, if you opted in.
- To notify you of new EmpowerFlix launches, if you opted in.
We separate these consent categories. Opting in to filmmaker updates does not opt you in to EmpowerFlix communications, and vice versa. We never bundle marketing consent into screening access.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@empowerflix.com. You may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Data sharing
We share your name and email with the filmmaker whose screening you registered for, if you opted in to filmmaker updates. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Data retention
Transactional records (registration, access, payment) are retained for seven years for legal compliance. Optional marketing consents can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawn consents are recorded; the contact record itself is retained for legal purposes.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
